A coastal storm will produce heavy rain and strong winds beginning overnight tonight and lasting through Sunday. Widespread 2-3 inches of rainfall is expected across the area. Occasional heavy rain will lift northward Saturday morning with another round of downpours possible late in the day.
 
Rain showers will continue into Sunday and begin to taper off Sunday night.
 
Wind gusts could reach 30 to 40 miles per hour. The strongest winds are expected from mid-morning through early afternoon Saturday. Downed trees and power lines resulting in localized power outages are possible.
