* WHAT...Up to 1 1/2 ft of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.

* WHERE...In New Jersey, Hudson, Eastern Essex and Eastern Union Counties. In New York, Richmond (Staten Island) County.

* WHEN...From 1 PM to 5 PM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding is expected in vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline, particularly along Newark Bay, the Arthur Kill, Kill Van Kull and the tidal portions of the Hackensack River. Up to 1 1/2 ft of inundation, which will cause shallow flooding on some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional rounds of localized minor coastal flooding are possible Sunday into early next week, particularly during the afternoon high tide.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HUDSON ... EASTERN ESSEX ... EASTERN UNION ... RICHMOND (STATEN IS.)

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
