SUBJECT: Asking for the public’s assistance in solving an assault LOCATION: 500 block of Whipple Avenue, Redwood City 
DATE/TIME: Thursday, September 20th, 2023 
Media Information 

On Thursday, September 20th at around 11:11 PM an intoxicated male subject was reported walking in and out of traffic on Whipple Av/Veterans.  The reporting party called back to say the same subject got in a fight with a couple at the Arco gas station and he was knocked unconscious. Officers located an unconscious victim on the ground at the gas pumps.  Two witnesses said the subject was involved in a disturbance with a couple driving a blue Kia Sol at the gas station.  

According to the witness, the male suspect began fighting with the victim and ultimately knocked him out.  The female suspect began assaulting the victim on the ground while he was unconscious.  The couple fled in their vehicle going west on Whipple Ave.  The suspect vehicle had Washington State license plates – unknown numbers.  Suspect number one is a Hispanic Male Adult, 20’s, short curly hair, black hoodie with “Cookies” lettering.  Suspect number two is a Hispanic Female Adult, 20’s, light brown shoulder length hair.  

The victim was transported to Stanford Hospital for head injuries.  

The Redwood City Police Department is actively working this case. We are seeking the public’s help in solving this crime.
