Reports of a Firearm on a High School Campus Found to be False

LOCATION: Twentynine Palms High School / 72750 Wildcat Way, Twentynine Palms
SUMMARY: On September 22, 2023, at approximately 8:46 a.m., deputies responded to the Twentynine Palms High School for reports of a student possessing a firearm on campus. The school was placed on lockdown until the conclusion of the investigation for the safety of students and staff.
Upon arrival, deputies conducted an investigation and determined all allegiations to be unfounded. No firearm was located and no firearm was ever observed by students on campus. The lockdown was lifted at the conclusion of the investigation, when the campus was deemed safe.
