* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following county, Cherokee. Portions of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Barry, Barton, Dade, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald and Newton.

* WHEN...From this evening through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Excessive rainfall of 1 to 3 inches of widespread rain and localized amounts up to 6 inches. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
