The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Barry County in southwestern Missouri... Southern Christian County in southwestern Missouri... Stone County in southwestern Missouri... Northern Taney County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 500 AM CDT Sunday.

* At 1057 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Branson, Monett, Forsyth, Merriam Woods, Crane, Reeds Spring, Rockaway Beach, Branson West, Galena, Taneyville, Kissee Mills, Bull Creek, Mccord Bend, Hurley, Spokane, Chestnutridge, Ponce de Leon, Walnut Shade, Cape Fair, Elsey, Garrison, Wheelerville, Jenkins, Bradleyville, Madry, Brownbranch, Pleasant Ridge, Lake Taneycomo, Table Rock Lake and Shepherd of the Hills State Park. This includes the following low water crossings... Woods Fork at Woods Fork Road, Bear Creek at Reno Springs Road, Little Crane Creek at Old Wire Road, Stout Creek at Hulls Ford Road, Caney Creek at Caney Creek RD, Dry Crane Creek at Jasmine Road and Little Beaver Creek at Old Cheese Plant Road.
