| On September 22, 2023, at approximately 1941 hours, Camarillo Police Station deputies were dispatched to a commercial burglary / organized retail theft which occurred at the Gucci Store located in the 900 Block of Camarillo Center Drive. A concerned citizen, who was shopping at the Camarillo Premium Outlets, observed six suspects leaving the Gucci store with suspected stolen property, and entering a white Mercedes Benz and a black Tesla Y prior to fleeing the scene of the crime. Shortly after the crime occurred, the concerned citizen notified Sheriff’s Dispatch and patrol deputies were sent to investigate the crime. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed that a commercial burglary and organized retail theft had occurred. Evidence was collected that showed one black female and five black males entered the Gucci store through the front door. Once the suspects were in the store, they began to grab high end Gucci and other premium designer handbags, wallets, and purses. All six of the suspects removed the merchandise from the security features and left with stolen property. The suspects ran to the two nearby vehicles, loaded the stolen property inside and fled the area. Camarillo investigators are still working with Gucci to determine the total amount of stolen merchandise. Anyone with information regarding this crime, the identity of the suspects, or information about the vehicles are encouraged to contact the Camarillo Detective Bureau at 805-388-5100. The Camarillo Police Department and Ventura County Sheriff’s Office encourage witnesses to notify the Sheriff’s Communication Center at 805-654-9511 or 911 of any suspected illegal activity they witness so deputies can investigate these matters as soon as they happen. |
