Hazardous weather outlook continues; discounted parking to end; avoid flood-prone areas

A hazardous weather outlook, issued by the National Weather Service, remains in effect for Hudson County, including Hoboken. Rain is expected to continue into tomorrow. The next high tide for the area is at approximately 4:25 p.m.

Discounted parking ending at 8 a.m.

Residents are reminded that a special discounted parking rate for residents with a valid Resident On-Street Parking Permit or Temporary Parking Permit in certain municipal garages ENDS tomorrow at 8 a.m. Those with vehicles in eligible garages after that time will be charged regular rates.

Avoid flood-prone areas

The Office of Emergency Management reminds residents to avoid flood-prone areas. Intense rainfall of greater than 0.8 inch per hour could result in flooding in low-lying areas. Barricades have been deployed near flood-prone intersections. Do not move or drive around barricades. Do not walk or drive through flooded areas.

Please report flooded intersections and clogged drain inlets by calling the NHSA Hotline at (866) 689-3970.
