Correction on pedestrian fatality 
On 09-25-2023 at 7:05am, deputies responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian crash at the intersection of US Hwy 41 and Crossing Blvd. Preliminary investigation indicates that a female pedestrian was attempting to cross US Hwy 41 and was struck by a southbound vehicle. Unfortunately the pedestrian was killed. IT DOES NOT APPEAR that drugs or alcohol were involved. This is an ongoing investigation. Our thoughts and prayers are with all involved.
