The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is hosting a special event this Wednesday, September 27, 2023, that will result in traffic delays on Madera Road starting at 9:00 a.m. Local residents and commuters should anticipate traffic delays on Madera Road and surrounding streets throughout the day until approximately 7:00 p.m.
All travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid this area if possible. Local residents and commuters are also being notified of a strong law enforcement presence throughout the day on all roads leading to the Presidential Library.
This Wednesday’s special event will result in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library being closed to the general public. Anyone planning on visiting the Library will need to select an alternate date. The special event will also result in the closure of two roads: Presidential Drive at Madera Road and Roosevelt Court at Presidential Drive. Only verified residents and verified guests will be allowed.
The Simi Valley Police Department will be assisting with traffic flow throughout this coming Wednesday and is asking the public to be patient during this unique event and any traffic delays that it may cause. There will be no parking on Madera Road for this event; vehicles will be towed.
