INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Etiwanda Avenue / Napa Street, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Unknown
VICTIM(S): 41-year-old-male, Resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY: On Monday, September 25, 2023, at approximately 7:37 a.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station were dispatched to the area of Etiwanda Avenue and Napa Street, in reference to a man down. Upon arrival, deputies located a decaesed male adult on the west dirt shoulder of Etiwanda Avenue, north of Sixth Street and south of Napa Street.
During the investigation, deputies determined the male subject walked north on Etiwanda Avenue from Sixth Street and was hit by a vehicle, possibly between the evening of September 24, 2023, and early morning of September 25, 2023.
The Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's Station's Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded to the scene and investigated the traffic collision. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
