Possession of a Firearm in a School Zone

On 9/27/23 at 3:15 PM, officers were dispatched to Van Buren Elementary School on a report of a woman in possession of a firearm that was holstered on her hip.  Officers arrived at Van Buren and identified the woman as Danielle Reints.  Reints was waiting on school grounds for children she was authorized to pick up after school.   
 
Reints was taken into custody on the charge of Possession of a Firearm in a School Zone and later released from the Janesville Police Department.
