West County Crime Suppression Operation, Friday September 29th 
Dear Kensington Residents,
On Friday, September 29th, you may notice marked police cars from different law enforcement agencies in and around Kensington. This is a pre-planned event that is part of the West County Crimes Suppression Operation. The City of El Cerrito and the District of Kensington are hosting the even with the support and collaboration of several West County law enforcement agencies, including Hercules PD, Pinole PD, San Pablo PD, Richmond PD, and the Contra Costa County Probation Department.
The partner agencies have pledged to provide mutual support to reduce violent and property crime throughout the West County area. The partnership recognizes that crime and safety are not restricted by jurisdictional boundaries but require a collective response.
We are grateful for this partnership as it brings additional resources that would otherwise be expensive in terms of funds and personnel. We kindly request that you show your appreciation by waving to the officers from our neighbors in West Contra Costa County as they help out our community.
The event is planned to run from 5pm till 1am.
