On September 27, 2023, at approximately 9:24 p.m., Davis Police officers responded to the area of Alvarado Avenue and Espana Court for a reported sexual battery. The victim reported seeing the suspect leaning against a vehicle as she walked on the sidewalk along Alvarado Avenue. As she walked past the vehicle, the suspect reached out and grabbed the victim, groping her before fleeing the scene. The suspect was described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, wearing a black short-sleeve t-shirt, dark pants and shoes. He also wore a black balaclava face covering with eye glasses over it. He was last seen running north across Alvarado Avenue toward Espana Court.
