Two Victims Rescued from the Etiwanda Preserve When a Hiker Hears Calls for Help

VICTIM(S): Adult Female, Age 22, Resident of Highland
Adult Female, Age 20, Resident of San Bernardino
 


SUMMARY: 
On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at approximately 10:25 A.M, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station responded to a call for assistance at the Etiwanda Preserve. The reporting party was hiking near the waterfall and heard two females yelling for help. The caller could hear the subjects but could not see them. 

Deputies arrived at the location and found two adult female victims near the base of the waterfall.  Both victims were in medical distress and required immediate medical treatment. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Aviation assisted and hoisted both victims to safety.  Both were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
