Watch Commander’s Day Report - September 28, 2023 
1. Robbery (0950) 2000 Block of South Airport Way, Park District
The female victim, 50, was in the area when the suspect approached her from behind and took her to the ground. The suspect forcefully stole the victim's property and fled on foot. SUSPECT: Black male 24, wearing dark clothing.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1414) California Street and Vine Street, Civic District
The adult male victims 27 and 21, were working as security in the area when they contacted the transient suspect, and asked him to leave the area. The suspect pulled out a knife and tried to stab the victims. The victims were not injured and officers responded and took the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Arthur Ortega 55, for assault with a deadly weapon.
