Happy Friday!  The next few weeks will be full of roadway impacts and fun! for our community.  First up is the 34th Pumpkin Festival next weekend.  While rumors of low 80s may be in store for us early next week, the arrival of pumpkin spice flavored drinks, food and home scents (I hear it’s a thing) tell us that summer is coming to a close and now it’s time to come on down and get together as a community and have some fun.  

For those that partake, I hear the Krispy-Kreme doughnut tent will be back!!

The new Dukes of Hazard training grounds are up!  OK, let’s just call them “railroad crossing improvements” for now.  Much smarter engineers than I tell us that ‘settling’ will occur and they will come back down to earth.  I think we will have to ‘settle’ ourselves for a bit and enjoy taking a more leisurely path over them.
