* WHERE...Portions of central and northern New Jersey, including the following counties, in central New Jersey...Mercer. In northern New Jersey...Hunterdon and Somerset.
* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1135 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated mainly light rain across the area. Although the rainfall has lightened up for the time being, the 1 and 2 inches that fell earlier is still causing high water on the Neshanic River. - For Neshanic at Reaville: At 11:15am the stage was 8.7 feet. Instructions:
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
