September 29 Storm Update with road closure information 
The North Brunswick Office of Emergency Management advises residents that Jersey Avenue, between Huron Road and Route 1, is closed at this time. With additional rainfall expected, it will likely remain closed until late this evening or early tomorrow morning. Please use an alternate route in that area.
Milltown Road, between Chrome Street and Georges Road, was temporarily closed this morning due to flooding but could again be closed if heavy rainfall resumes later today. It is recommended to avoid this area if possible when heavier rainfall begins.
"Turn Around, Don't Drown"
If you find yourself in your car during a flood or flash flood, avoid large puddles of water on the ground. Just six inches of water can stall most cars, even an SUV or a truck, or remove your ability to control the car. Two feet of water is enough to sweep your car off the road.
Avoid areas that are already flooded, and areas that are subject to flooding. Seek higher ground. The depth of water is not always obvious. Never ignore barriers that warn of flooded or dangerous roads!
