Watch Commander's Night Report - September 28, 2023

TOTAL CAD CALLS: 929

1. Armed Robbery (1858) 7600 Block of Pacific Avenue, Lakeview District

The victim was working at an area business when the suspect entered, brandished a knife, and stole property. The suspect fled the area, and no injuries were reported. SUSPECT: Black male adult.

2. Armed Robbery (1915) 1200 Block of East Hammer Lane, Valley Oak District

The victims were working at an area business when the suspect entered, brandished a knife, and demanded property. The suspect fled the business with stolen property, and no injuries were reported. SUSPECT: Black male adult.

3. Armed Robbery (2108) 7600 Block of Pacific Avenue, Lakeview District

The male victim, 31, was working at an area business when the suspect entered the business and brandished a handgun. The suspect demanded property and threatened the victim if she failed to comply. The suspect then fled the business with property, while a second suspect acted as a lookout. SUSPECTS: Black male adults.

5. Armed Robbery (2138) 4500 Block of North Pershing Avenue, Lakeview District

The victim was working at an area business when the suspect entered the business armed with a handgun. The suspect stole merchandise and property prior to fleeing the business. No injuries were reported. SUSPECT: Black male adult.

6. Person Shot (2156) 00 Block of West Jamestown Avenue, Valley Oak District

The male victim, 31, was in the listed area when the suspects approached and demanded he roll down his window. The victim became frightened, and as he began to drive away, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and shot him. The victim was transported to an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECTS: Three black males, 20’s.

7. Persons Shot (2228) 500 Block of South San Joaquin Street, Seaport District

The male victims, 20 and 44, were inside their residence when they were struck by gunfire that penetrated a wall of the residence. The victims were transported to an area hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. SUSPECT: No suspect information.

8. Weapons Arrest (2250) Madison Street and Mosswood Avenue, Seaport District

Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a person armed with a handgun. Officers located the suspect, who brandished a firearm. The suspect eventually surrendered and was arrested without incident. ARRESTED: David Diaz, 27, for weapons and narcotics charges.
