Simi Valley Police and Ventura County Fire responded to a collision on the evening of September 28, 2023, at around 8:00 PM in the 1700 block of Madera Rd. Upon arrival, officers found a severe traffic collision involving a single motorcyclist. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Los Robles hospital where he was declared deceased.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Marcus Evans, a 21 year old Simi Valley Resident.
According to initial information and preliminary investigation, it appears the main cause of this crash was due to speed and an unsafe turning movement.
