ROUTE 4 TRAFFIC ALERT 
Route 4 westbound is scheduled to have a single lane closure on Saturday night just past the Garrison Avenue/Sussex Road Overpass in Teaneck. This is a continuation of work that began two weeks ago.
Beginning at 11 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, September 30, until 8 a.m. Sunday, October 1, the center lane on Route 4 westbound is scheduled to be closed between Garrison Avenue/Sussex Road and Wilson Avenue to remove construction barrier in the right lane. At
least one lane will be maintained during construction. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays.
By 8 a.m. Sunday, October 1, the right and center lanes will be reopened to traffic. The right lane was previously closed on September 16, 2023 to install drainage underneath Route 4.
The work is part of a $15.8 million state-funded maintenance project to repair stormwater facilities at various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
