On September 29, 2023, deputies from the Wasco Substation and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division responded to residences in the 2800-block of Broadway Street and 2600-block of Spruce Ave in Wasco for the service of multiple search warrants related to an ongoing criminal investigation involving Adrian Oliva (20), who was the suspect in a shooting that left two victims injured.
Oliva was located and arrested for an outstanding felony warrant for charges of Penal Code 664/187 – Attempted Homicide and Penal Code 182 – Conspiracy. Angel Villa (21) was arrested for Penal Code 25850 – Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Elija Gonzalez (32) was arrested for numerous weapons and narcotics violations.
As a result of the search warrants at both residences, deputies located and seized five (5) firearms, ammunition, high-capacity magazines and approximately five (5) ounces of suspected cocaine.
Oliva, Villa, and Gonzalez were booked at the Central Receiving Facility.
