Sutton County, Sonora Texas Solar Eclipse Planning and viewing information. 
On October 14, 2023, Sutton County and the surrounding counties will experience an Annular Solar Eclipse. Perdictions are estimated that 300,000 to 500,000 visitors will come to the Texas Hill Country to view this event. Sutton County can expect a high number of visitors on the day of this eclipse.
Due to the significant number of visitors, traffic congestion is expected, cell phone service may be disrupted, and there could be a shortage of food, supplies and fuel.
