Full Notification

This afternoon, a homeowner in the 700 block of Wingate Place requested the Rockton Police to remove a potential explosive device that had been stored in a residence for over 5 years.   Officers requested the service of the Winnebago County Sherriff’s Office Bomb Squad to identify and evaluate the device.  The smaller device was rendered safe and removed by the Bomb Squad Technician.
