Special Weather Statement until 04:00PM

As of 1400Z or 6:00 AM AKDT Tuesday morning, satellite imagery detected an ongoing eruption of Shishaldin. Ash is being lofted up to 40,000 ft over Unimak Island with the plume moving to the south and west. Trace amounts of ashfall are possible for the community of False Pass. This statement will be updated if conditions change.
