Juveniles Arrested for Robbery in Arroyo Grande

On September 29, 2023, at approximately 6:50 pm, Arroyo Grande Police officers responded to the area of N. Courtland Ave. and E. Grand Ave. for the report of three suspects who had forcefully removed personal belongings from four juveniles and assaulted two of them in the commission of a robbery.
During the investigation, an Arroyo Grande Police Officer was able to locate three subjects matching the suspects’ description outside the 1800 block of E. Grand Ave. The officer initiated a pedestrian stop but the three suspects fled from the officer. A foot pursuit was initiated where two of the suspects were captured a short distance away and placed under arrest without further incident. The third suspect was able to elude capture but was later identified and later arrested. An Arroyo Grande Police Officer received minor injuries during the arrest.
The three suspects were determined to be 17-year-old juveniles from Arroyo Grande. Two of the three suspects were found to be on juvenile probation.
The two suspects who were arrested were transported to the San Luis Obispo Juvenile Service Center on charges of PC 211- robbery, PC 182 – conspiracy to commit a crime, PC 148(a)(1) – delay and obstruct a peace officer.
