Provide comments on the Draft Hoboken Housing Authority Redevelopment Plan

Residents can still provide feedback on the draft Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) Redevelopment Plan.

The draft HHA Redevelopment Plan establishes a framework for the phased redevelopment of all HHA properties. The Plan requires the replacement or substantial rehabilitation of the existing 1,354 HHA units and includes the provision of significant improvements to the neighborhood’s infrastructure, circulation updates, recreational amenities and open spaces, and allows for additional non-HHA units (with a 15% affordable and 10% workforce housing set aside).

Community members must submit any questions, comments, or feedback on the draft HHA Redevelopment Plan via email at [email protected] by 10 a.m. tomorrow, Oct. 4.

To view the draft redevelopment plan, visit the Documents + Resources page of www.hobokennj.gov/hharedevelopmentplan.

Rebuild By Design update

NJDEP contractors will deliver a construction trailer and storage container for the next phase of the Rebuild By Design project at the un-occupied portion of Harborside Park on Thursday, Oct. 5.

Later this fall, contractors will begin test pitting along the northern and southern resist alignment to better understand sub-surface conditions. Installation of the storm surge risk reduction measures will help protect the City from coastal storm surge like what was experienced during Superstorm Sandy.

For more information on the Rebuild By Design project, go to https://dep.nj.gov/floodresilience/rebuild-by-design-hudson-river/.
