Alert: FEMA to Conduct Nationwide Emergency Alerts Test on Wed., 10/4 at 2:20 PM
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in conjunction with the Federal Communications Commission will be conducting a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alerts on Wednesday, October 4th at 2:20 PM.
The national test will consist of two portions. The alerts will first go out via wireless carriers on your cell phones, followed by a second test that you will see and hear on televisions and radios. Please do not be alarmed, as it is strictly a test of their alert systems.
