Missing Person Awot Tara: At Risk
The Oakland Police Department is requesting assistance from our community and media partners in locating Missing Person, Awot Tara, who is at risk due to lack of medication.
He was last seen on October 2, 2023, around 5:10 PM, in the 300 block of 45th Street, wearing a black zip up hoodie, orange shirt, blue jeans, with black and white sneakers.
Tara is described as a 27-year-old, Black (Eritrean) male. He stands 5’7” and weighs 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The family reports Tara is in good physical condition and has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
