Five Suspects Arrested Following a Fight and Attempted Stabbing
 
Five suspects physically assaulted and attempted to stab a person before running away.  Suspects were found and arrested. 
 
San Mateo, CA – On October 4, 2023, at 10:50 p.m., five suspects were arrested in connection with an assault with a deadly weapon.  The suspects surrounded, punched, and attempted to stab the victim.  The incident happened at Wells Fargo Bank, located at 81 West Hillsdale Boulevard.  The suspects, Jose Perez Gomez, Andy Perez Juarez, Joel Recinoz Perez, Moises Vasquez Alvarado, and a 17-year-old juvenile male, were located and arrested.
 
The victim was waiting at a bus stop in front of Wells Fargo Bank when he was surrounded by a group of five males.  The victim was punched in the head and face while one of the attackers pulled out a knife and attempted to stab the victim.  The victim was struck in the shoulder with the knife, however, luckily, he was not injured by the knife.  The victim was able to escape from the incident and call the police.     
 
Officers arriving at the scene were able to quickly locate and detain the suspects.  After the initial investigation, Gomez, Juarez, Perez, and Alvarado were arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail.  The 17-year-old juvenile was arrested and booked into Hillcrest Juvenile Hall.
