SUMMARY:  On Saturday, September 30, 2023, at approximately 11:25 a.m., deputies responded to the 3000 block of Whirlaway Lane, Chino Hills, in reference to a vehicle burglary.

Deputies discovered the victim had just withdrew money from a local bank and placed an envelope with the money in the glove box of his vehicle. The victim drove and parked his vehicle unattended at his residence. Within minutes, unknown suspects were captured on video surveillance, burglarizing the victim's vehicle, and stole the money. The suspects left in a Hyundai Elantra with an obstructed license plate. Chino Hills detectives utilized several law enforcement databases and identified the vehicle used in the crime.
