Comstock Charter Township observes National Fire Prevention Week 2023
Comstock Charter Township is honored to join the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) in observing National Fire Prevention Week.
This year's National Fire Prevention Week theme is "Cooking Safety Starts with You."
During National Fire Prevention Week, Comstock Charter Township and the Comstock Fire & Rescue Department will have tons of information about cooking safety and fire prevention.
The NFPA has publicly observed Fire Prevention Week since 1922.
President Calvin Coolidge declared a National Fire Prevention Week in 1925.
National Fire Prevention Week is always observed the week of October 9th, in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.
