INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: D Street and Second Street, City of Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Pharoah Haywood, 40-year-old Resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): 20-years-old, Male Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at about 4:32pm, deputies responded to a unknown problem at a residence in the 16600 block of D Street. When deputies arrived, they located the victim with a one-inch laceration on his forehead.
Witnesses at the scene advised the suspect, later identified as Pharoah Haywood, struck the victim with a metal pipe and fled the scene on foot.
At about 8:30pm, deputies located Haywood running near the intersection of D Street and Sixth Street with a knife. The deputies pursued and detained Haywood.
During the investigation, deputies discovered Haywood returned to the scene after the original attack, forced entry into the victim’s residence and attempted to slash subjects inside. Haywood was chased away by several family members.
Haywood was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
