INCIDENT: PC 211 - Robbery
LOCATION: Dollar General, 20834 Bear Valley Road, Apple Valley
VICTIM: 46-year-old female of Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Richard Fimbres, 46-year-old male of San Bernardino
SUMMARY: On Thursday, October 5, 2023, at approximately 11:53 a.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to a reported robbery at Dollar General, located at 20834 Bear Valley Road.
Deputy A. Delgado responded to the store and investigated. The investigation revealed a male subject had entered the store and after selecting two 30-packs of beer left the store without paying. A store employee approached the subject as he exited the store and asked him to pay for the items. The subject threatened the employee who then returned to the store after obtaining video and photos of the suspect.
Due to previous incidents with the suspect, Deputy Delgado was able to identify him and located the suspect at his current residence. Richard Fimbres was arrested for robbery and transported to High Desert Detention Center for housing. Fimbres is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
