SMPD seeking help to locate missing 21-year-old developmentally disabled adult.

The Santa Maria Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with locating developmentally disabled 21-year-old missing adult, David Akanji. Akanji was last seen walking away from his home in the evening hours of October 8, 2023. Akanji’s destination is unknown.
Investigators are seeking any information that may lead to Akanji's whereabouts. He is approximately 5'09", 180 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Akanji was last seen wearing blue shorts and a blue t-shirt.
