SUBJECT: Four suspects arrested for felony assault at In N Out
DATE/TIME: October 6, 2023
LOCATION: In N Out, 949 Veterans Boulevard, Redwood City
Media Information: On October 6th at around 9 PM, multiple assaults occurred in and around the In N Out parking lot, 949 Veterans Boulevard. The confrontation began when two adults armed with a metal pipe, approached a group of juveniles and young adults. The two adults armed with the pipe thought the juveniles they were confronting had been involved in a strong arm robbery earlier in the week. This proved to be a case of mistaken identity.
The adult suspects with the pipe assaulted multiple victims. In turn, the victims were able to take the pipe away and used it on the suspects but not consistent with self-defense.
Three adults and one juvenile were arrested:
Redwood City resident Marco AmbrizRangel (18)
Redwood City resident Jesus Bustos (47)
Redwood City resident Juan Carlos Guerrero Cabrales (41)
A male 17-year-old Redwood City resident
The three adults were booked into the San Mateo County Jail, The juvenile at San Mateo County Youth Services Center. Charges included: Felony assault with a deadly weapon, felony child abuse with possibility of great bodily injury and felony conspiracy.
Multiple subjects were injured, some seriously. However, at this point, all have been released from the hospital.
