Union City Murder Victim Identified 
*** MURDER INVESTIGATION UPDATE ***
The murder victim in this investigation was identified as Jeanine Cowger, a 63 year-old Union City resident.
Union City, CA – Case #231005006 - On Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 7:46 am, UCPD officers responded to the area of 33000 Almaden Boulevard for a report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located three victims with injuries. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the other two victims were transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect in the incident was identified as CARLOS DANIEL HERNANDEZ, 21 year-old from Mountain View, CA. He has been located and arrested for the incident. The Union City Police Department would like to thank Mountain View PD for their assistance in the investigation.

The motive for the incident is still under investigation. There are no known threats to the area at this time.
