INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision

Involved Party 1: Raul Mejia-Hernandez, 66-year-old male from Los Angeles
Involved Party 2: Parker Monticone, 30-year-old male from Rancho Cucamonga (deceased)
SUMMARY: On October 5, 2023, at 11:29 a.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a sedan on Foothill Boulevard, east of the 15 Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga.
A motorcyclist, later identified as Parker Monticone, rode eastbound on Foothill Boulevard and collided with a westbound vehicle, driven by Mejia-Hernandez, who was making a left into the shopping center driveway. Despite life-saving efforts by the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department, Monticone died at the scene.
Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation.
