At 21:04 hours, Palmdale Deputies responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash call, Tag 326. Upon investigation, it was determined P/1 was driving eastbound on Palmdale Blvd. and P/2 was driving westbound on Palmdale Blvd. P/1 swerved into oncoming traffic and collided into the front of V/1. The front passenger of P/2 succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at an area hospital. The investigation is being handled by Palmdale Station Traffic Detectives.
 
Alcohol appeared to be a factor in the collision and P/1 was arrested for 23153(a) CVC.
 
Palmdale Station Traffic Investigator Detective Knutson, Station Traffic Sergeant Anderson and Traffic Services Detail Sergeant Downing responded to the scene. A portion of Palmdale Blvd. was closed between 70^th St. E. and 80^th St. E. during the investigation.
