Statement from Monroe Twp. Police Chief Michael Biennas
Dear Monroe resident,
We have been closely following news coverage, including social media, which indicates the Hamas terrorist group is calling for a global day of “Anger” this Friday, including calls to “Action”.
While we know of no threat in Monroe, we have been in close contact with state and federal authorities. Out of an abundance of caution, the Monroe Police Department will be adding additional officers to our patrols, ensuring houses of worship and other public gathering places remain secure on Friday. We will continue to monitor these events.
These are concerning times. As such, we ask you to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Monroe Police Department at 732-521-0222. For any emergencies, immediately dial 911.
Sincerely,
Police Chief Michael Biennas
