Clayton County Citizens Beware of Bonding Scam
SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN 
SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN has received over 10 complaints of bonding scams and wants to protect and inform the citizens of Clayton County from any potential fraudulent activities.
Remember, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office WILL NEVER call you to make payments over the phone, nor will we ask you to make payments through CashApp, Zelle, GooglePay, ApplePay, Venmo, and gift cards.
If you have a loved one in jail, go directly to the SHERIFF'S OFFICE located at 9157 Tara Blvd Jonesboro Ga 30236 or directly to the bonding company of your choosing. DO NOT do business or give information over the phone.
The criminals are pretending to be bonding agents to get payments and SHERIFF'S OFFICE staff, they are even emailing fake documents saying they are from federal court.
The United States District Court of Clayton Clayton County, Georgia" does not exist.
If you receive a call requesting payment, hang up and call your Clayton County Sheriff's Office at 770-477-4479 to verify.
