The Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit is asking for help identifying a male that was located in a field in the 6600 block of East I-40 on April 4, 2023.
The male was found in advanced stages of decomposition; however, is possibly a white male in his 40’s or 50’s. He wore dentures and had blondish gray hair and a full beard. He was wearing western style clothing, and his pants had a sharp crease from obvious starch. He was found in a sleeping bag and was wearing a unique necklace and had a very distinct backpack. The male was unable to be identified through facial recognition or fingerprints.
After an autopsy, no foul play is suspected.
