INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Amargosa Road and King Ranch Road, Victorville
INVOLVED PARTY(S): 63-year-old Resident of Apple Valley, Driver of Chevy Impala
34-year-old Male Resident of Victorville, Driver of Harley Davidson (deceased)
33-year-old Female Resident of Victorville, Passenger of Harley Davidson (deceased)
SUMMARY: On October 14, 2023, at approximately 8:20 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department and medical personnel from the Victorville Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the area of Amargosa Road and King Ranch Road, in Victorville.
Responding deputies determined that a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveled south on Amargosa Road, and a silver 2015 Chevrolet Impala exited a parking lot on the west side of Amargosa Road. The Chevrolet Impala exited the parking lot in front of the motorcycle, and the motorcycle broadsided the Chevrolet Impala.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Victorville Fire Department. The motorcycle's passenger was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team assumed the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
