Teton County Emergency Management is asking the public to participate along with us and register for The Great ShakeOut, the world's largest earthquake drill. Teton County is a seismically active area, and residents should know how to protect themselves during an earthquake. On 10/19, at 10:19 a.m., we would like for everyone to practice Drop, Cover, and Hold On:
The Great ShakeOut is also a great time to review earthquake preparedness at FEMA’s Ready.gov website. You can find a template to build or update your family emergency communications plan, learn about protecting your home, and what to do after an earthquake happens.
Once again, don’t forget to register if you plan on participating in The Great ShakeOut to join the more than 4,000 of your friends and neighbors that are already registered today!
