Full Notification

On October 16, 2023 at about 6:15 PM, deputies assigned to the Metropolitan Patrol Division responded to a reported shooting at a home in the area of South Chester Avenue and South M Street.  Upon their arrival, deputies located three persons inside the residence who appeared to be the victims of a violent assault.  Detectives responded and assumed the investigation.  The identity of the victims will be withheld pending notification by the Kern County Coroner’s Office. No further information is being released pending the initial investigation by detectives.  A detailed report will be provided by detectives at a later time.
