In 2024, Comstock Charter Township will have 3 vacancies on the Planning Commission and 2 vacancies on the Zoning Board of Appeals.

The Planning Commission reviews site plans for new construction in the Township, considers applications for rezoning, reviews amendments to the Township’s Zoning Ordinance, and updates the master plan.

The Zoning Board of Appeals is responsible for granting dimensional variances from the Zoning Ordinance. Upon request, the Zoning Board of Appeals can grant other variances from an administrative action or interpret provisions of the Township’s Zoning Ordinances.
