SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Attempted Unarmed Robbery

LOCATION: South Sheridan Road and Carson City Road, Fairplain Township

At approximately 2:10 A.M. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, Sheriff’s Office deputies were sent to an attempted, unarmed robbery at the Ago station on the corner of South Sheridan Road and Carson City Road in Fairplain Township.
The investigation revealed that a subject walked into the store and demanded money. The clerk did not comply with the subject’s demand. The subject fled the store. The Sheriff’s Office K9 team was able to track the subject for a short distance, ending when the track met the blacktop roadway.
The subject’s description is a person who is roughly six feet tall, 220 pounds, with a deep voice. The subject was wearing all dark clothing and a ski mask.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Montcalm Central Dispatch, the Greenville Department of Public Safety, and the Michigan State Police.
