PRESS RELEASE: Two Dead in Murder-Suicide 
On October 16, 2023, at approximately 9:32 p.m., the Turlock Police Department responded to the 1000 block of East Springer Drive for a report of an aggravated assault. The reporting party, who lives at the residence, arrived back home and found her parents with obvious life-threatening injuries.
Turlock Police Officers, along with Turlock Fire, University Police, and AMR personnel responded to the scene and found Troy Borges, 60, and his wife, Susanne Borges, 61, deceased inside the residence.
Turlock Police Detectives were called out to the scene and took over the investigation. Following the autopsy, the investigation concluded that Troy was responsible for the death of his wife and subsequently took his own life thereafter. The utility knife used was recovered at the scene.
On behalf of the officers and detectives on scene, the Turlock Police Department would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Troy and Susanne.
