INCIDENT: Single Vehicle Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Carbon Canyon Road and Carriage Hills Lane
DRIVER: 35-year-old Male Resident of Fullerton
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, October 15, 2023, at approximately 2:05 p.m., a single vehicle collided with a power pole in the area of Carbon Canyon Road and Carriage Hills Lane. The damage resulted in the full closure of Carbon Canyon Road between Chino Hills Parkway and Carriage Hills Lane.
Several minutes later, an unrelated brushfire started in the area of Carbon Canyon Road and Feldspar Drive. Deputies, personnel from the Chino Valley Fire District, Cal Fire, Cal Trans, and Southern California Edison responded for both concurrent events.
The fire was extinguished quickly as Edison worked on clearing the roadway. Carbon Canyon was re-opened to one lane at approximately 8:00 p.m.
